PLANT‑0013 PLANTER
 
The PLANT‑0013 geometric planter celebrates the marriage of rhythmic texture and refined form through its continuous field of slender vertical ribs that encircle a softly domed silhouette. Each rib is precisely spaced and slightly tapered, creating a pleated facade that captures shifting light and shadow, animating the surface with a gentle, undulating rhythm. The vessel’s outward flare at the midline lends a sense of buoyant stability, while the inward taper toward the base grounds the planter with quiet confidence. Proportional harmony is achieved by calibrating the height‑to‑width ratio—at 7.5 cm tall and 12.5 cm in diameter, the piece feels both substantial and approachable on tabletops, shelves, or windowsills. Conceptually, PLANT‑0011 frames botanical growth within a measured geometric envelope, inviting an intimate dialogue between human touch and living form. The negative-space grooves between ribs not only enrich the visual depth but also encourage tactile exploration, as fingertips trace the smooth curves and ridged channels. This interplay between solidity and void mirrors the organic cycles of nature, where structure supports spontaneous vitality.

How are the planter made?

Modern 3D printing technology is used to produce the UPETAL 3DESIGN planter.
This is how the extraordinary and delicate structure of the planter can be created - while at the same time being very light. We paid particular attention to sustainability and quality when it came to the material used. - a bio-plastic made from corn starch - we have paid particular attention to sustainability and quality.

What material are the planter made of?

The 3D planter from UPETAL 3DESIGN are made of polylactide (PLA for short), which is also colloquially known as polylactic acid and is often referred to as  ''o-plastic''. PLA is made up of lactic acid molecules that are created during the fermentation of corn starch or sugar cane.
Although PLA does not grow on trees or bushes and is therefore produced synthetically, it is biodegradable due to its ingredients and is therefore a great alternative to non-degradable plastic with similar properties.


Why are high temperatures damaging the planter?

If the planter is exposed to high temperatures (e.g. in direct sunlight behind a window), the material can lose stability, causing the planter to warp. A series of tests carried out over a few weeks came to the conclusion that this can happen , but does not happen in every case.
However, we expressly point out that there is a possibility that the planter can deform at temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

 

Can I put water in the planter ?

The 3D printed planter itself is not waterproof due to its manufacturing process, and water may seep out from the planter. We recommend using this planter for displaying dried flowers.
